Empowering Young Migrant Women Across Europe
Europe is undergoing rapid transformation, shaped by increasing migration and cultural diversity. This evolving landscape brings enormous potential for innovation, inclusion, and growth, but it also presents urgent challenges for many people. Among the most persons affected are young migrant women, particularly those arriving from non-EU countries. Despite their potential, they often face systemic barriers, including discrimination, limited access to resources, and persistent gendered stereotypes.
Teens2Queens is an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union, designed to directly address these challenges. Its core mission is to empower young migrant women by providing them with the skills, tools, and platforms they need to thrive in their personal, educational, and professional lives, as representation, self-determination, and opportunity are critical for lasting integration and social equity.
Through a combination of innovative project results (Competences Gap Detector, Competences Gap-Bridging Programme, Policy e-Paper), Teens2Queens helps participants build confidence, develop digital and entrepreneurial competences, and make their voices heard. The project actively challenges the stereotypes and social norms that often limit young women's aspirations, replacing them with a framework of empowerment, leadership, and active participation.
By transforming vulnerable teens into confident “queens” of their own future, the project not only supports individual growth, but also contributes to a more inclusive and equitable Europe where young woman, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to grow personally, speak up, and lead their community.
