Kicking off WBL-Q MD – Strengthening Dual Vocational Education in Moldova

In January 2026, Auxilium officially launched the three-year research and development project WBL-Q MD, aimed at supporting the further development of work-based learning (WBL) within the vocational education and training (VET) system of the Republic of Moldova.

On February 17–18, Auxilium met with representatives from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova, two Moldovan vocational schools, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry East Brandenburg (Germany) in Frankfurt (Oder) to kick off the study phase of the project. During this phase, we are identifying the key quality indicators most relevant for Moldova’s WBL system.

These indicators are being explored from the perspectives of both vocational schools and training companies, while ensuring alignment with national regulatory frameworks.

What are we working towards?

  • Developing a digital self-assessment tool that enables VET providers to evaluate how well they meet key WBL quality standards
    • Designing targeted training and advisory interventions to help VET providers further strengthen the quality of work-based learning

By combining research, digital innovation, and international cooperation, WBL-Q MD aims to support the continuous improvement of practical training and dual education structures in Moldova.

We are excited to collaborate with our partners and contribute to shaping the future of high-quality vocational education.
